Today is Earth Day!

Earth Day is a name used for two different observances, both held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. These are intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment. The United Nations celebrates an Earth Day each year on the March equinox, a tradition which was founded by John McConnell in 1969. A second Earth Day, which was founded by Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in the late 1960s, is celebrated in many countries each year on April 22.

We Can't Wait

May it be the railway track or a traffic signal, we Puneities, have no time to wait... We are addicted to hurry and emergencies.... We fear we may get late for office.. school, college, appointment.... Errrr...!! It seems like a competition to DIE FIRST is on!

Consider the Ghorpadi Railway Gate: The stupid people are always found standing on the wrong sides of the gate to go first. I wonder, how shameless these creatures!!
They try to pull their two wheelers out of the closed gates even the train is close... No Fear, boss!

By the way, The Ghorpadi Railway gate is supposed to be closed on 18th and 20th April 2008 for some time. The time is still not displayed on the board at the gate, but you get this noticed and aware, if you are daily commuter.

The Adlabs chowk: This is the great spot to observe the traffic rules. Most of the traffic is supposed to go towards the IT park or to Viman Nagar area, which no doubt proves these people are educated and skilled IT persons .... But do they follow traffic rules. NO! They DO NOT!

The stickers at the back on their vehicles shows they work for some of the GREAT companies. And doing so [breaking rules] they even harm the brand image too!
